Alacrity partners with WeGeek; Launches incubator in Shanghai, China
The Alacrity Foundation has partnered with a Shanghai incubator program, WeGeek.
This partnership amplifies Alacrity’s Global reach to 11 offices worldwide. It will act as a “soft landing” pad for Alacrity to export Canadian tech innovation to the Chinese market. It can be difficult to enter the Chinese market, but this partnership will foster success for Canadian startups looking to enter the affluent market.
Accessing the Chinese Market
Investors within the Chinese market want to deploy their capital and together with WeGeek’s local presence, Alacrity’s Global reach, and with their investment networks and industry connections; this soft landing pad will encourage Chinese investments, and stimulate growth and market potential for technology startups.
A New Incubator in Shanghai
On top of Alacrity’s involvement, WeGeek will also be onboarding Telecommunication Information Technology (TMT) startup companies in the local area. The WeGeek advisor and mentor team will provide: co-working collaborative space, business support, introductions to investors and connections to industry partners. Together, Alacrity and WeGeek will support the exportation of Canadian innovation while fostering local growth within the Chinese market.
